   Loved your thoughts on irony. I go to Mars Hill Graduate School in Seattle where you will be in a little over a week, so I’m excited to hear more about this and other ideas when you speak at our school. I’ll make sure to introduce myself. I love your writing.

   Actually, in the anecdote about the Italian army going ‘over the top’ it’s interesting you describe the guy giving the order as ‘the head of the army’. Did you not think about brushing up on military rank and hierarchical structure before employing this anecdote? No? Good for you.
